ABOUT

Server Room Arcade is made by Richard Lucht, a network and infrastructure engineer in the United States. After years of closing tickets, chasing broadcast storms and answering the pager at 2 AM, he started turning the job into games.

The games are free, run in your browser and need no account or download. They are built around real work: tickets have SLAs, configs have typos, Friday changes come back to haunt you, and it's always DNS. Mini-games and loading screens use real networking and systems concepts, so a few rounds double as light practice.

THE GAMES

The games are for entertainment. They are not training courses, they don't grant any certification, and they aren't affiliated with Cisco, Microsoft or any other vendor whose products are mentioned.

HOW THEY'RE MADE

Richard designs, edits and tests every game. He builds them with AI coding assistants (Claude, Codex and Grok), which write and review much of the code under his direction. Every release is checked by a working engineer.
